New Jefferson County Democratic Committee chairman accounced

WATERTOWN, NY —  The Jefferson County Democratic Committee proudly announces the election of Corey DeCillis as Chairman.

At the December meeting of the JCDC, the Committee unanimously chose Mr. DeCillis to replace Jon Hall, who stepped down as Chairman in December.

Mr. DeCillis is a current member of the JCDC from the Town of Rutland. He recently completed a term as Mayor of Black River, and served on the Village Board of Trustees for 10 yrs. Corey, as a Verizon employee, has also been active with the Communications Workers of America Local 1124 as a Steward, Chief Steward, Legislative Director, President and currently the Executive Vice-President. He is also active with the United Neighbors Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, serving as president and been active with the Black River Little League baseball and Carthage Crusader baseball programs. Corey lives in Black River with his wife, Joelle and their 6 Children.

Chairman DeCillis said, “It is an honor to be elected as Chairman of the Jefferson County Democratic Committee, and I look forward to working with the whole Committee and our elected officials in the County and state.”

Chairman DeCillis brings a wealth of experience to the JCDC, and the membership is excited to begin 2021 with Corey DeCillis at the helm.
