New York State Zoo at Thompson Park Zoo to host Doc’s Clinic and Family Healthcare

WATERTOWN, NY —  In coordination with North Country Initiative, Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization, Kinney Drugs and Samaritan Health, New York State Zoo at Thompson Park will be hosting “Doc’s Clinic and Family Health Fair” on Saturday, September 28, from 11am-3pm.

Kids can bring their favorite stuffed animal (healthy or worn) to get them checked out by Dr. Monica Madera of North Country Animal Health Center. Dr. Madera will also chat about her experiences taking care of the Zoo’s wildlife with live presentations at NOON and 1:30pm.  Free flu shots will be available by Kinney Drugs between 11am – 1pm followed by story-time with “Flemy the Flu Monster.”

Samaritan Health and other local healthcare vendors will also be participating with their own displays, demonstrations and goodies.  Free admission for one child per paid adult.
