Nicole M. Weston, 48, Dexter

DEXTER, NY — Nicole M. Weston, 48, Dexter, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born Dec. 2, 1970, in Watertown NY, a daughter of Christine Hamlin, and Edward Weston, Sr., she attended Watertown schools, and worked in the nursing field all her adult life.

She was currently a medical assistant student at SUNY Jefferson and was expected to graduate early this year.

Nicole enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and Sunday beach trips with her family during the summer.

She was a member of New Life Church (where she was recently baptized), and an avid animal lover and advocate.

Nicole enjoyed being the life of the party, and making everybody laugh and smile. She also took great joy in helping not just her family, but everyone she came into contact with.

Surviving are her father, Edward Weston Sr.; her aunt, Judy Sorrel (who was a mother figure in her life); her companion, Daniel Spencer, and his son Billy Spencer; a daughter. Tara (fiancé Mackenson) Favry; a son, Anthony (fiancé Nicole) Weston; a daughter, Brittany Mallette, and her son Jeremy (fiancée Ivan) Weston. She is also survived by the children she raised as her own: Tia (Dwayne) Meeks, Tiffani Merrifield, and Dominick Jefferson.

In addition, she is survived by 11 grandchildren: Ariana, Austin, Ameir, Caylee, Bentley, Vinny Love, Mikey, Ayden, Kaydence, Chloe, and Kendal, as well as two grandchildren on the way; her siblings: Michelle Booth, Jessica Weston, Charles, and Jennifer Weston, Joshua Hamlin, Edward Weston II, Keisha Hamlin; and her cousin Heather Weston (who she considered a sister); several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her God son, Zakkary Weston.

Nicole was predeceased by her mother, Christine Hamlin, her maternal grandparents, Richard and Mary Hamlin, her paternal grandparents, Melvin and Marion Busto-Weston, and her granddaughter, Tavanasia Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ninjas against animal cruelty in her honor.
