NYSP: 15-year-old passenger airlifted to Syracuse hospital following a crash in Lewis County

LOWVILLE, NY — State Police in Lowville is investigating a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Kosterville Road in the town of Lyonsdale, Lewis County.

On October 6, 2020, at 1:58 p.m., a 2004 GMC pickup truck, operated by Mitchell O. Fruin, age 22 from Lyons Falls, NY was traveling westbound on Kosterville Road when he lost control, exited the south shoulder of the roadway, and struck a tree.

Fruin was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 15-year-old Jordan D. Rogers, from Port Leyden, NY was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse and was listed in stable condition.
