NYSP: Lyons Falls woman arrested following an underage drinking initiative in Lewis County

LOWVILLE, NY —  On March 18, 2023, the New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in Lewis County.

As a result of the initiative, the following locations were checked:

  • Sliders – 6215 Number Four Rd, Lowville NY 13367

  • Greig Store—5529 Greig Rd, Glenfield NY 13343

  • Stewarts – 3906 SR 12, Lyons Falls NY 13368

  • Cliffs Store – 3205 St Rt 12, Port Leyden NY 13433

  • Nice N Easy – 3033 SR 26, Constableville NY 13325

  • Stewarts – 7491 S. State St., Lowville NY 13367

  • Sunoco A Plus – 7509 S. State St., Lowville NY 13367

  • Fastrac – 5610 Shady Ave., Lowville NY 13367

  • Lyons Falls Liquors—6085 McAlpine St., Lyons Falls NY 13368

  • Kinney Drugs—7395 Utica Blvd., Lowville NY 13367

  • Parkway Liquors—5405 Parkway Dr., Lowville NY 13367

  • Dollar General 6804 McAlpine St, Lyons Falls NY 13368

  • 7/11 7392 Utica Blvd, Lowville NY 13367

As a result of the initiative, the following locations were found NOT to be in compliance with the laws dealing with the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 21:

  • Hill Top Market, 1187 State Route 26, West Leyden, NY

As a result of the initiative, Stephanie N. Redmond, age 29, from Lyons Falls, NY was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st degree and Prohibitive Sale of Alcohol to a person under twenty-one years old (ABC Law §65). Redmond was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of Lewis Court on April 13, 2023, at 6 p.m.
