EVANS MILLS, NY — State Police in Watertown is investigating a crash that occurred on US Route 11 in the town of LeRay in Jefferson County.
On November 11, 2019, at approximately 2 p.m., a 2010 Ford Mustang, operated by Thomas W. Vincent, age 26 from Evans Mills, NY was traveling south on Route 11 when he lost control, struck a guard rail and entered the path of a 2008 Ford pickup truck, operated by Chad J. Bell, age 39 from Winthrop, NY, troopers said.
Vincent had to be extricated from his vehicle and was transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse and is listed in critical condition, troopers said.
Bell was transported to Samaritan Medical with non-life-threatening injuries.
State police were assisted at the scene by the Evans Mills and Fort Drum fire departments.
