EVANS MILLS, NY — State Police in Watertown is investigating a fatal one-car crash that occurred on County Route 18 in the town of LeRay in Jefferson County.
The preliminary investigation has revealed, at approximately 12:06 a.m., a 2007 Cadillac CTS was traveling south on County Route 18, when the operator lost control, went off the roadway and struck a tree.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they located a 17-year-old female passenger, later identified as Lexi M. Morgan and a 16-year-old male passenger, later identified as Gabriel M. Otero ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 19-male, identified as Kenneth J. Perez and 22-year-old female, identified as Christina McKeown were located inside the vehicle and were both transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
