NYSP: Woman accused of cashing forged checks from Theresa Primary School PTO account

THERESA, NY —  Amber M. Wells, 24, Watertown, NY, was charged on Nov. 6 by State Police in Alexandria Bay with (3) counts of first-degree possession of a forged instrument (C-felony) and (3) counts of first-degree falsifying business records (E – felony).

Wells is charged with cashing three forged checks totaling over $2,500.00 from the Theresa Primary School PTO account, troopers said.

Wells was arraigned in the Watertown City Court and released on her own recognizance.

She is scheduled to appear 10 a.m. Nov. 10 in Watertown City Court.
