WATERTOWN, NY  — The Figure Skating Club of Watertown is hosting an Olympic Dreams Clinic for figure skaters this Saturday, April 29 from 10am to 2pm at the Watertown Municipal Arena at the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds in Watertown, NY. The event is sold out. The Clinic will be led by Karen Chen, US Olympic silver medalist and Coach Stacy Petri. They are joined by Coaches Jeff Petri and Sherry Robbins.

Karen Chen is a two-time Olympic skater in the 2018 and 2022 winter games. She is a 2022 Olympic team Silver Medalist. She is a US Figure Skating National Champion – a 2017 US National Champion, 2022 US National Silver Medalist and three-time US National Bronze Medalist. She has competed in seven International Skating Union (ISU) Championships and two World Championships.

Coach Stacy Petri is a five-time US Figure Skating Gold Medalist and Certified Technical Specialist for the United States Figure Skating Association (USFS). This has been a very successful year for the Club’s skaters with several members medaling in the New York State Empire State Winter Games in Lake Placid this past February. Placing in the New York State Empire Games qualifies a skater for the elite State Games of America which will be held in San Diego, California next summer.
