WATERTOWN, NY —Â The Watertown Police Department responded shortly after 12:00 a.m. Saturday to a report of a shot fired in the 100 block of Central Street.
“We are investigating a shooting at 913 State St.,” Det. Sgt. Joseph A. Giaquinto said at the scene. “Nobody was injured in the shooting. We’re still attempting to locate the person who had the firearm.”
“It looks like it was personal business. This was not a random act,” Giaquinto said.
K9 Abel of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was brought to the scene to assist in the investigation.
As of 4:00 a.m. Saturday the person of interest and the firearm have not been located.
