LOWVILLE, NY — Lewis County Public Health is asking for the assistance of the public in trying to find the owner of a dog that has bitten a person.
The bite occurred on Sunday, July 22 around 2:00 pm on the VanAmber Rd in the town of Croghan. The dog in question appeared to be a black and brown German Shepherd mix with possibly a blue collar.
Unless verification of rabies vaccine is provided, the individual will need to undergo a series of rabies post exposure shots.
