PA woman’s BAC was 0.25% after traffic stop on I-81 in Orleans, deputies say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Sara C. Peterson, 55, of 4973 Daniella Dr., Doylestown, PA, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 8:58 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, in the northbound lane of Interstate 81 in the town of Orleans with aggravated driving while intoxicated and unsafe lane change.

Her blood alcohol content was 0.25 percent, deputies said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

She is summoned to appear in Orleans Town Court at a later date.
