THERESA, NY — Peter A. Eseltine, 61, of Smalgangen 25, Oslo, Norway, passed away on Oct. 21, 2020, in Oslo, Norway.
Born Aug. 24, 1959, in Watertown, NY, the son of Burton E. Eseltine and Ella L. Eseltine, he graduated in 1978 from General Brown High School. During high school, he was a foreign exchange student in Norway and lived with Arne Glorvigen family. He attended college at Fordham University and the University of Oslo.
He worked as a government authorized translator for Norwegian/English for 40 years. He enjoyed traveling, fine dining and spending time with his friends and family. He will be missed by his Norwegian host family, Sigrid Glorvigen, Stein Glorvigen (Gro); Per Arne Glorvigen (Shanti), Olav Glorvigen (Tida) and Bjorn, Sigurd Glovigen (Ingrid) their children and his friends.
He is survived by a sister, Polly S. Hallett (John), a niece, Katie E. Hallett, a nephew, Jedidiah Hallett, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Oct. 15, 2021, in Oakwood Cemetery, Theresa, NY.
