Watertown Police Department:
Christina M. Brown, 52, of 105 Maple St., Brownville, was charged by Watertown police at 10:47 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at her residence with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Ms. Brown is accused of violating the terms of a Family Court stay-away order of protection when she approached the protected party, Christopher P. Carbone, 53, Watertown, and tried speaking to him at the Full Circle Bar and Grill, 616 LeRay St., at about 7:55 p.m. Feb. 18, according to court documents. She was held for arraignment in CAP Court in the lobby of the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.
American Red Cross aids two after De Kalb Junction fire
WATERTOWN, NY (February 21, 2022) – Volunteers from the Central & Northern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to two people after a fire on Sunday evening on Maple Ridge Road in De Kalb Junction (ST LAWRENCE COUNTY).
The Red Cross provided health services and financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to two adults. Volunteers also offered emotional support. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.

The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has received information regarding a scam Horse Trailer Company. This business claims to be based in Canton, NY and offers the opportunity to purchase new or used trailers. The business goes by the name Equine Trading LTD and has been posting ads on Facebook as well as Craigslist. As always be sure you know the sites and individuals you are purchasing items from to avoid being scammed.

Cassandra L. Weed, 33, of 15614 Eimicke Place, Bldg 4, Apt. 409, Watertown, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 12:52 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at 15614 Eimicke Place in the town of Watertown with intent to obtain transportation without paying, a misdemeanor. Deputies allege she obtained taxi services without paying the $14 fare. She is summoned to appear March 12 in CAP Court.
Trenton R. Service, 23, of 41685 County Route 2, LaFargeville, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 2:31 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at State Routes 3 and 342 in the town of LeRay with aggravated driving while intoxicated, unsafe lane change and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater. His BAC was 0.23 percent, police said. He is summoned to appear March 14 in LeRay Town Court.
