Watertown Police Department:

Dayquan T. Sanders, 25, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 1620 Huntington St. with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, second-degree harassment and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief. Mr. Sanders is accused of shoving Shayna J. Acosta, 19, to a floor at about 5:20 a.m. Aug. 20 at 1620 Huntington St., Apt. S8, and placed his arm around her neck while applying pressure causing her to be unable to breathe for several seconds, according to court documents. He is also accused of taking her cell phone when she attempted to contact emergency services and bent the phone causing the screen to break, police said. Mr. Sanders additionally pushed her away from the only exit of the apartment, locked the door to prevent her from leaving and stood in front of the door for several minutes, police said. He was being held pending arraignment.

Andrew A. Wren, 31, of 31091 Deer Trail, Black River, was charged by Watertown police at 1:24 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 108 Stone Dr. in Black River with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Mr. Wren is accused of violating the terms of an order of protection issued by LeRay Town Justice Covell when he engaged in a phone conversation with the protected party, Kyle Pignone, 40, Watertown, at about 10:54 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to court documents. He was being held pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.

Kennedy F. Smiley, 54, of 232 W. Main St., Apt. 12A, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 5:24 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at 341 Arsenal St. with trespass. Mr. Smiley is accused of standing outside the front doors of Sunoco, 430 Factory St., and remained on the premises while knowing he was not allowed to be there at about 3:00 a.m. Aug. 11, according to court documents. He is summoned to appear Sept. 19 in City Court.

Erica C. Miller, 27, of 336 Winslow St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 305 W. Main St. with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Ms. Miller is accused of breaking several plates belonging to Tyler K. Godwin, 35, Watertown, by throwing them on the floor during a domestic incident at about 11:00 p.m. Sept. 3 at 750 Lansing St., according to court documents. She also allegedly slapped Mr. Godwin in the face and struck his groin area during the same incident, police said. She was being held pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.

Alaysia E. Compaore, 26, of 700 Tully St., Apt. 1, Syracuse, was charged by Watertown police at 12:34 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the 900 block of Arsenal Street with operating a vehicle on a suspended registration and inadequate lights. She is summoned to appear Sept. 18 in City Court .
