Police: Syracuse man possessed 1,352 envelopes containing fentanyl in vehicle

WATERTOWN, NY — On 06/13/23 members of the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force were participating in a multi-agency drug investigation. This led to a vehicle stop at the Ramada Inn Hotel, 21000 NYS Route 3 in the town of Watertown.

The vehicle stopped was a 2021 Kia Sol which was occupied by Devine E. Mobley.

Investigation led to the seizure of 1,352 glassine envelopes containing fentanyl, 10 Hydrocodone pills, and $330.00 in US currency.

As a result, Devine E. Mobley (age 21, Syracuse, NY) was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree (class B felony). Mr. Mobley was processed and held pending arraignment.

The Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force was assisted by the NYSP Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit, the NYSP Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, the NYSP Community Stabilization Unit, and NYSP K-9 Unit and uniformed Troopers.

This is an on-going investigation.
