Richard Williams, 70, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY —  Richard Williams, 70, passed away Sunday, April 26, at his home on West Lynde Street in Watertown.

Born April 21, 1950, in Watertown, the son of Arthur and Lelia (Devers) Williams, he graduated in 1968 from Watertown High School. He was a member of the varsity football and wrestling teams.

Rick was a natural craftsman as he mastered everything from construction to making jewelry, to gardening and more.

Rick was also an entrepreneur for over 30 years. He owned and operated multiple retail stores and several rental properties.

Rick eventually transitioned to overseeing the refurbishment and beautification of North Watertown Cemetery which was a project of love for him over a ten-year period as its director.

Over the years, Rick was part of the Elks, Boy Scouts, Mohawk Nation and much more.

Surviving are his former wife Jackie Williams, former wife Carol Williams (predeceased); his sons David Robbins (Tammi), Nathon Williams, Ryan Williams (Paula), and a daughter Sierra Dunn; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; siblings, Sandra (Williams) Nicholson, Arthur Williams, Danny Williams, and Randy Williams.
