Ricky F. Sidman, 66, Adams

ADAMS, NY —  Ricky F. Sidman, 66, died unexpectedly Monday morning, Sept. 21, 2020, at his home.

His funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, at the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams. Calling hours will precede the funeral beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be private at a later time.

Born June 13, 1954, he was the son of Frederick and Ruth (Bush) Sidman.

Following his graduation from South Jefferson Central School in 1972, he worked at W.S. Rice Factory in Adams for twenty years, then at the Jefferson County Journal in Adams and eventually went to Belleville Henderson Central School in Belleville, NY, where he worked as a custodian, retiring in 2016.

He and his companion Carol Beckstead, have lived in their current home for seventeen years.

Surviving besides Carol, are a son, Eric Sidman, Syracuse; a daughter, Megan Sidman, Watertown; two granddaughters, Tieanna and Kiarha Sidman, Watertown; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and his cat “Pin”.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Ricky played lead guitar in the Charlie Boulio Band and later the Borderline Band.  He also enjoyed collecting antiques and building furniture.
