Sackets Harbor teen charged with aggravated DWI in Watertown, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Austin M. Gregory, 18, of 203 W. Main St., Sackets Harbor, was charged by Watertown police at 1:07 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, in the 100 block of Flower Avenue East with aggravated driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle after consumption of alcohol by a person under the age of 21 and unlawful possession of marijuana.

His blood alcohol content was 0.21 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

He is summoned to appear Oct. 29 in City Court.
