Samaritan launches COVID-19 resource line (315) 755-3100

WATERTOWN, NY — To keep the community informed and safe amid concerns about the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Samaritan today launched a local COVID-19 Resource Line – 315-755-3100.

This line is staffed by nurses and is open to callers Monday through Friday from 8 am – 5 pm. Community members with Coronavirus-like symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc.) are encouraged to call and receive advice on seeking care and/or testing.

Samaritan would also like to remind the community about its current visitor restriction policies. The following restrictions are currently in place:

Samaritan Summit Village and Samaritan Keep Home:

  • All visitors are restricted from entering Samaritan Summit Village and Samaritan Keep Home.

  • Non-essential appointments will be rescheduled and activities will be held only on floors and limited in size.

  • Outings with friends and families should be postponed until further notice. During this time, please consider using the phone, email, or video chat to communicate with your loved ones.

Samaritan Medical Center:

  • Visitors must be 18 years of age or older.

  • No more than two (2) visitors per patient at one time.

  • In line with our normal visitor guidelines, all visitors must be free of illness. If you have a sore throat, fever, runny nose, cough or other flu-like symptoms, please do not visit your loved ones. We encourage the loved ones of our patients to visit when they are well.

All Outpatient Services (including same-day surgeries, infusions, imaging, lab work, etc.):

  • Limit one (1) visitor/guest per patient at appointments.
