Scott J. Wackernagel, 50, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Scott James Wackernagel, 50, passed away April 4, 2019, at home with his loving family by his side.

He was born Jan. 6, 1969, in Muskegon, Michigan, the son of Wayne Wackernagel and Bernice Rogers.

During his teenage years Scott could be found tearing up pinball tables all over Grand Rapids Michigan with his good friends the Video Galaxy Family who still keep in touch to this day.

Scott proudly served in the United States Army where he was part of a cohort unit assigned to the 1/87th Infantry, 10th Mountain Division. After serving, Scott worked for the Watertown Branch of the United States Postal Service.

Scott’s interest in many subjects led him on a continuous journey of learning as an autodidact. He was particularly passionate about Military and World History. He also had an insatiable drive to provide for his family. Scott most enjoyed spending summer weekends and vacations in Canada sharing his wild and crazy sense of humor with his extended family and friends.
