CANTON, NY —Â Michele L. Lesperance, 40, of 8 Gustin Square, Colton, was charged by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies early Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, on Main Street in Canton with two counts of felony aggravated DWI under Leandra’s Law, and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
Deputies said her vehicle was stopped during an investigation of a domestic incident.
She had two children, ages 12 and 7, as passengers in the vehicle and was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.11 percent, deputies said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.
She is summoned to appear in Canton Town Court at a later date.
