WATERTOWN, NY — The Figure Skating Club of Watertown is hosting its 9th Annual Snow Town Invitational Competition for Figure Skating starting this Friday, January 24 through Sunday, January 26. The event begins at 7pm Friday night with Synchronized Skating teams from across Upstate New York competing.
Individual events will immediately follow the synchronized competition at 8pm and continue through Sunday. Saturday’s competition will be 9am to 6:30pm and Sunday, 8am – 12:00pm. The event will be held at the Watertown Municipal Arena at the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds in Watertown, NY.
This year there are 13 synchronized skating teams and 221 individual competitors participating from across Upstate New York and Canada.
The event is a popular event due to timing as it is the weekend prior to the New York State Empire Winter Games where many of these same skaters will be competing in Lake Placid next weekend.
