Nails found in Almond Joy candy bars purchased in Watertown, troopers say

WATERTOWN, NY —  On Oct. 29, 2020, the New York State Police in Watertown received a complaint of possible consumer product tampering.

Further investigation revealed two small needle-sized nails were reportedly found inside of two individually wrapped “Almond Joy” bite-size candy bars.

The candy bars were purchased from the Watertown Walmart,  approximately two weeks ago.

A reminder to parents, please exercise caution before allowing children to consume any of these brands of candy as with any other candy received this weekend.
