GOUVERNEUR, NY —Â State Police are investigating an ATV crash that killed one man and critically injured another.
On November 20, 2021, at around 10pm, State Police responded to Beaman Road in the town of Gouverneur for a report an ATV crash with two people seriously injured.
A preliminary investigation determined Larry G. Deets Jr., 40, of Gouverneur, was driving a 2016 Polaris RZR north on Beaman Road when he lost control. Deets and his passenger, Ty Fuller, 24, of Gouverneur, were both ejected from the side by side.
Both men were transported to Gouverneur Hospital, where Fuller died from his injuries.
Deets was transported by helicopter to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
The crash investigation is ongoing.
