PULASKI, NY —Â On Dec. 3, 2020, at 11:26 a.m., State Police in Pulaski responded to a reported drowning at the NYS DEC Fishing Access (Ellis Cove) located at 275 Bridge Street in the town of Albion.
Troopers located 76-year-old, Keith M. Leonard from Oneida, NY, deceased from an apparent drowning while fishing in the Salmon River.
The investigation has determined Mr. Leonard was attempting to cross the river when he was swept downriver and subsequently drowned, troopers said.
The New York State Police were assisted by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Police, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, and Northern Oswego County Ambulance.
