PARISH, NY — On 8/03/23 at approximately 9:10am, 35-year-old Eric E. Gardner of Williamstown, NY, was in a wooded area off County Route 11 in the town of Parish cutting down trees with his father, Mark E. Gardner.
His father went up to the residence for a short time, and upon his return, located his son pinned between two trees. Heavy equipment was used to free the victim.
Further investigation revealed that he was struck by a falling tree, and was pronounced deceased by a paramedic on scene.
NYSP were assisted by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, Parish Fire Department and Mcfee Ambulance.
