Suzanne H. Cobb, 84, Glenfield

GLENFIELD, NY – Suzanne H. Cobb, 84, died Friday morning, Nov. 16, 2018, at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility with her family by her side. She has been a resident of the nursing home since September of this year.

Born Dec. 17, 1933, in Glenfield, the daughter of the late William Edward and Ferne Marguerite (Holland) Hawk, she attended General Martin High School in Glenfield.

She married Alfred D. Cobb on October 6, 1962 in Scranton PA.

She was a cook for Kalet’s Adult Home and for Arletha Bender’s store and diner in Watson and most of all a homemaker for her family. She and Alfred made their home on the School House Road. Alfred died Wednesday, May 2, 2007.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Paula and Joseph Mooney of Glenfield; Bruce H. and Pamela Cobb of Windsor, SC; Bobby J. and Renee Cobb of New Bremen; and Timothy P. and Tina Cobb of Glenfield; her 16 grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Beverly A. Young and Jane F. “Polly” Farney; and her brother, Jack W. Hawk and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Alan R. Cobb, her brothers, Martin, Peter, and William “Edward” Hawk; her sisters, Wanda J. Wetmore and Bernice Bauer.

Suzanne loved spending time with her family, playing Bingo and cards.

Per Suzanne’s wishes, she is to be cremated and buried in Otter Creek Cemetery with her husband Alfred in the spring.
