LOWVILLE, NY — Lisa Virkler, District 2 (parts of the Towns of Croghan and Diana), Ian Gilbert, District 4 (parts of the Towns of Lowville and New Bremen), and Josh Leviker, District 7 (Towns of Martinsburg and Turin, and part of theTown of Lowviile), are all eager to serve another term of service to their constituents and the County as members of the Lewis County Legislature.
Lisa Virkler, Chairperson of the Human Resources Committee, is dedicated to finding help for those struggling with mental illness and homelessness. A goal of Lisa’s is to provide resources to reduce the staggering number of suicides in area. She is a Nursing Supervisor at Samaritan Medical Center, and is married with two children.
Ian Gilbert, Chairperson of the General Services Committee, works tirelessly to improve economic opportunities to attract young families to the area and sees widespread benefits for everyone by keeping taxes down. He is an attorney in private practice, and is married with five children.
Josh Leviker, a member of both the General Services and Financial and Rules Committees, is focused on improving recreation and tourism, along with promoting various agriculture businesses. He is a Project Manager with Barrett Paving, Village of Turin Mayor, and President of the Lewis County Snowmobile Association; and is married with two children.
