WATERTOWN, NY — Todd L. LaVere, 61, Watertown, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Calling hours will be held 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date with details to be announced.
Born Dec. 24, 1961, to Lawrence and Norma (Nonie) LaVere, he graduated in 1981 from Watertown High School.
After working for his father at Minfelt Building Supply, he was the proud owner of Kegler’s Lounge on Public Square. He and his wife Melissa operated the bar and restaurant for 19 years.
He was a dedicated Yankees and Cowboys fan who watched every single game. His favorite hobby was woodworking.
He loved bowling and was a proud member of the Thousand Islands 700 Club. He enjoyed golfing and was a local league member.
He enjoyed being outside whether it was being out on the water, camping or four wheeling. He was also an Elks Lodge member for many years. He was an avid gambler who was always willing to take a bet.
One of his biggest accomplishments was being a father. He was a great man who was very proud of his children.
He is survived by a son, Troy; and his daughter, Morgan and spouse Kyle Wyborney. He is also survived by his father, Lawrence; and a brother, Scott.
He was predeceased by his mother, Norma (Nonie) LaVere.
