MEXICO, NY —Â On January 20, 2023, the Mexico School District was apprised that a 12-year-old student made a verbal threat against the school. An investigation by the New York State Police determined the student did not have access to firearms or a plan to follow through on the verbal threat. Â The student is facing school discipline and is being provided mental health services.
