BOONVILLE, NY — On March 31, 2023, at 12:17 a.m., State Police patrols were dispatched to 7024 Fox Court in the town of Boonville for a reported stabbing incident.
When troopers arrived on the scene, they located the 35-year-old male victim who sustained multiple stab wounds to the head, back, left abdomen, and left leg.
The victim was then airlifted to Upstate University Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers located the suspect at the scene and placed him into custody without incident.
Jeffrey R. Lawson, age 28, was subsequently charged with Assault second-degree, a class “D” felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon fourth-degree, class “A” misdemeanor.
Lawson was transported to the Oneida County Jail to await arraignment.
