UPDATE: CitiBus Service

WATERTOWN, NY —  City of Watertown CitiBus provides essential transportation to many residents who rely on the service to reach work destinations, grocery stores and health care providers. The City is committed to maintaining this service as long as possible during the COVID-19 outbreak. The safety of our employees and passengers working in this challenging environment requires a cooperative effort from everyone. We are outlining a few of the steps taken to help mitigate the potential spread of the illness which include:

ï‚· Cleaning and disinfection of all CitiBus vehicles on a daily basis.
ï‚· Promoting spacing of passengers through altered seating arrangements where
possible on buses.
ï‚· Promoting proper hygiene for passengers and employees.
 Intermittent disinfectant wipe down of loading rails during the course of the day’s trips.

Passengers are asked to follow Centers for Disease Controls recommendations by:
ï‚· Staying at home when you feel ill, avoiding contact with others, especially if you have a cough, fever or are short of breath.
ï‚· Covering any coughs or sneezes
ï‚· Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
ï‚· Washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
ï‚· Maintain distancing from other passengers as much as possible by leaving seating space open and spreading out within the cabin area.

The City of Watertown will continue to monitor the situation and make additional changes as necessary.
