Update: Watertown Family YMCA 39th annual Turkey Day Run

WATERTOWN, NY  – On Thanksgiving Day, November 24th, 2022, the Watertown
Family YMCA will host the 39th annual Turkey Day Run. The race will begin at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 20020 Ives Street Road, Watertown, NY at 9:00 AM.

The focus of this annual event is to bring community members together for a good cause and promote healthy fun. This event has become part of the annual Thanksgiving celebration for many North Country families.

Not even a record-breaking snowstorm has dimmed the enthusiasm for this holiday event as almost 500 community members have already registered, and the weather is shaping up to be perfect for the day!

Participation options include 5K run or a 2.2-mile walk/run option. Registration and timing is being hosted by Race Roster.

In-person registration and packet pickups for participants will be Tuesday, November 22nd,12:00 PM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday, November 23rd, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Fairgrounds Y location.

Last call registration and packet pickup will be available at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the morning of the race, 7:00-8:30 AM. The race begins at the church parking lot at 9:00 AM. Race results will be announced inside the church at 10:00 AM.

The first 500 participants registered will be guaranteed a shirt printed by Victory Promotions, one of the event sponsors. Other Turkey Day Run sponsors include Cheney Tire, Samaritan Medical Center, RBC Wealth Management, Brite Orthodontic, Sundance Leisure, SeaComm Federal Credit Union and AirServe of NNY.
