CARTHAGE, NY – Veronica Irene Fuller, 91, formerly of Route 126, passed away Friday evening, May 3, 2019, at Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.
Veronica was born on July 30, 1927, in Carthage, NY, a daughter to the late Paul and Louise (Mono) Wormwood. She attended Carthage Central School and went on to work as a machine operator for Lolley’s Manufacturing Company as well as Crown Zellerbach in Carthage.
On March 24, 1962, Veronica married Lawrence E. Fuller. Lawrence passed away on Sept. 8, 2010.
Veronica enjoyed playing bingo. She also played in a professional country music band for a time.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Guyette of Myrtle Beach, SC; Paul (Sharon) Fuller of Carthage, NY; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; a son, Clarence “Sonny” Pickering; a daughter, Julie Farney; and three brothers, Paul Wormwood Jr., Edward Wormwood, and Nelson Wormwood.
Calling hours will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2019, at Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. Burial will be held noon Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in Fairview Cemetery with Roger Mono officiating.
