Victims Assistance Center to celebrate new location

WATERTOWN, NY — On Oct. 18, 2018, The Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County, Inc., will hold an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at their new location at 418 Washington Street, Watertown.

The Open House will be held 4 to 6 p.m., with a ribbon cutting ceremony and remarks at 5:15 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The new location will provide services to all individuals in our community who are impacted by violence or crime through advocacy, education and emotional support.

The Victims Assistance Center has been serving the community since 1979 as a comprehensive victims services agency. The mission of the Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County is to assist and provide direct services to victims/survivors of violence and crime in Jefferson County. Victimization does not end with the violence of the crime itself. The Victims Assistance Center recognizes these complex issues and assists individuals and families in our community through a variety of direct services.
