ALBANY, NY — Assemblyman Mark Walczyk (R,C,I,Ref-Watertown) is excited to welcome Hannah Heisler to his Albany office. Hannah is taking part in the New York State Assembly Internship Program. Hannah is no stranger to the North Country, as she grew up in Jefferson County.
“Hannah is quick on her feet, always ready to learn, and very observant. I know she’ll do very well in the program,” said Assemblyman Mark Walczyk. “We’ve already got Hannah working on some important policy initiatives which, if successful, will have a lasting positive impact on the communities of the Front Yard of America. I want to publicly thank the teachers of the Alexandria Bay Central School district, especially Molly Reilly, for setting Hannah on the right path to service.”
“Although I am still in the early stages of the internship, I have already learned so much from Mark and his staff,” said Hannah Heisler. “I’m glad to work in an office that cares about the North Country just as much as I do. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to do this internship and am eager to see how the rest of it will go.”
Heisler is a senior at the University at Albany majoring in Political Science with a minor in Urban Planning. She enjoys observing New York politics and government firsthand in Albany. Hannah is a 2016 graduate of Alexandria Central School.
The New York State Assembly Internship Program is open to Juniors and Seniors from all Majors, includes a stipend and full-semester credit for undergraduates.
