Watertown man accused of choking, punching brother

WATERTOWN, NY — Stefan D. Jones, 28, of 417 Tilden St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 12:29 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

He is accused of applying pressure to the throat of his brother Jaymz A. Jones, 30, causing him to have difficulty breathing at about 12:04 p.m. Sunday at their home, according to court documents. He also allegedly took a cell phone away from his brother as he attempted to call for emergency assistance and punched him in the face, police said.

He was being held pending arraignment Monday morning in City Court.
