Watertown man accused of choking, punching woman during domestic incident

WATERTOWN, NY —  Dennis S. Snyder, 45, of 523 Emerson St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at 498 Factory St., with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and second-degree harassment.

Mr. Snyder is accused of placing his left hand on the throat of Heather Snyder, 45, and applied pressure during a domestic incident at about 9:00 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at 833 W. Main St., according to court documents. He is also accused of punching her in the face once and once in the back of the head, police said.

He was being held pending arraignment Tuesday morning in City Court.
