Watertown man accused of punching woman during domestic incident

WATERTOWN, NY —  David R. Williams, 42, of 657 Olive St., Apt. 4, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, June 21, at his residence with second-degree harassment and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Mr. Williams is accused of using a closed fist to strike Cindy Alguire, 50, in the right side of her face and right eye causing her glass to fall off her face and break during a domestic incident Sunday night at his apartment, according to court documents.

He is additionally accused of pulling on Ms. Alguire’s arms and attempted to take her phone and hang up while she was calling for emergency assistance, police said.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Monday morning in City Court.
