Watertown man accused of shattering van window, shooting BB-gun at man

WATERTOWN, NYGerald A. Woodard III, 22, of 150 Stone St., Apt. 2, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 3:48 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, in the 300 block of Stone Street with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree harassment.

Mr. Woodward is accused of using a BB-gun to shatter a side window of a Dodge Caravan belonging to James Johnson, 47, at about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 4 in the 300 block of Keyes Avenue, according to court documents. He is also accused of firing several steel pellets at Mr. Johnson striking him in his abdomen causing a skin abrasion, police said.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.
