WATERTOWN, NY — Henry R. Carter, 37, of 914 Remington St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 7:19 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at 697 Bronson St. with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor and second-degree harassment.
Mr. Carter is accused of violating the terms of a City Court refrain-from order of protection when he threatened his wife, Samantha, 31, with a knife at about 6:54 p.m. Friday at 914 Remington St., according to court documents.
He is also accused of punching her in the face with a closed fist during the domestic incident, police said.
He was being held pending arraignment Saturday morning in City Court.
