Watertown man accused of threatening woman with knife during domestic incident, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  John A. Lowden Jr., 34, of 409 Academy St., Apt. 4, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 9:32 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 341 Sterling St. with first-degree unlawful imprisonment, a felony, second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor, fourth-degree criminal use of a weapon, a misdemeanor, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment.

He is accused of displaying a black handle kitchen knife, stated “I will kill you” and prevented Kimberly J. Chisam, 40, from leaving a room during a domestic incident at about 9:16 a.m. Wednesday at 341 Sterling St., according to court documents. He is also accused of possessing methamphetamine, police said.

He was being held pending arraignment in City Court.
