Watertown man accused unlawfully entering neighbor’s apartment, causing hole in drywall

WATERTOWN, NYBryson G. Birht, 23, of 1620 Huntington St., Apt. Q2, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, May 26, at 1620 Huntington St. with second-degree burglary, a felony, fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct.

Mr. Birht is accused of entering the residence of Cody Lilley, 21, of 1620 Huntington St., Apt. Q5, and fought with another subject inside the apartment at about 1:32 a.m. Sunday, police said. He also allegedly “headbutted” a section of drywall in Mr. Lilley’s apartment causing a significant hole in a wall, according to court documents.

He is additionally accused of kicked a patrol vehicle door causing the door to strike a police officer in his torso area at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday, according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.
