Watertown man charged with animal cruelty following cat’s death, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Kevin B. Youmans, 20, of 147 St. Mary St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 12:51 a.m. Sunday, March 8, at Samaritan Medical Center, 830 Washington St., with animal cruelty.

He is accused of failing to provide proper sustenance when a feline in his care was severely emaciated and at the time of death had no food contents in the stomach of GI tract at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday, March 7, according to court documents.

He is summoned to appear March 27 in City Court.
