Watertown man facing weapon, DWI charges

WATERTOWN, NY — Adam C. Morrison, 45, of 446 Glenn Ave., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:54 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at 133 N. Indiana Ave. with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and driving while intoxicated.

Mr. Morrison is accused of possessing “a Ted Williams model 53 30-06 rifle when he allegedly threatened to go home and return with his own gun” to use it against another man at about 7:57 p.m. Sunday at 133 N. Indiana Ave., according to court documents.

Police said he was previously convicted of second-degree criminal contempt on Nov. 22, 2000, and June 26, 2001, in Jefferson County Court.

His blood alcohol content was 0.13 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Monday morning in City Court.
