Watertown man pushed woman into sink during domestic incident, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —   Charles C. Welsh, 46, of 419 Clay St., Apt. 2, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 2:24 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at 419 Clay St. with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment.

He is accused of pushing Henrietta S. Hoffman, 45, in her back causing her to fall face-first into the kitchen sink during a domestic incident at about 2:02 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at 419 Clay St., police said.

Mr. Welsh is also accused of grabbing a cell phone from her hand to prevent her from dialing 911 to request assistance at about 2:05 a.m. Friday, according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Friday morning in City Court.
