Watertown woman accused of leaving toddler unattended, police say

WATERTOWN, NYSierra M. Eiland, 24, of 207 Wealtha Ave., Apt. 648D, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 5:20 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at her residence with endangering the welfare of a child.

Ms. Eiland is accused of leaving a 16-month-old girl unattended in an upstairs room in an apartment with the door closed while she performed errands nearly a mile away for approximately 90 minutes at about 2:30 p.m. May 16, according to court documents.

She is summoned to appear May 30 in City Court.
