Watertown woman charged with felony DWI

WATERTOWN, NY —   Morgan A. Gayton, 25, of 144 Maywood Terrace, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:24 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, at 1 JB Wise Place with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated and unsafe lane change.

A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater. Police did not list her BAC on an arrest report.

She is summoned to appear Dec. 12 in City Court.
