Watertown woman cited for blocking traffic

WATERTOWN, NYChantelle R. Evans, 25, of 379 Flower Ave. E., Watertown, was cited by Watertown police at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the 200 block of Academy Street with disorderly conduct and appearing in public under the influence of narcotics or a drug.

She is accused of “acting in a strange manner while intentionally blocking traffic by standing in the middle of the roadway and also consuming objects from the side of the roadway which did alarm and annoy several residents in the vicinity,” at about 6:01 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Academy Street, according to court documents.

Ms. Evans is summoned to appear April 9 in City Court.
